Description:
Being able to access grants and funding is essential for the sustainability and growth of businesses and non-for-profits alike. Writing effective proposals and applications is a crucial step.
This session will examine the process of proposal writing, with a focus on grant applications to government funding sources. Participants will be guided through a four-step process model, from concept development to intelligence gathering, proposal writing and follow up. Each step will include description and analysis of successful applications to government programs and foundation grants.
Instructor: John Shepherd, Accounting Instructor at KPU Melville School of Business.
John’s projects, especially in the area of community service learning, have been the subject of case studies and helped not-for-profit organizations access over $4 million in funding.
